Overview

On our Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, you will discover beautiful nature, picturesque landscapes and great archeological sites from the time of the Incas. Cusco is the gateway to the Sacred Valley, as well as the cultural hub of the region. During the Sacred Valley Tour from Cusco enjoy the day exploring the natural area and learning its history while you are being guided by your friendly trained, English speaking local guides. Also, you will view some of the best souvenirs and textiles at the Pisac Market on the Sacred Valley Day Tour. You will also experience a demonstration of how the textiles in this area are dyed and woven by hand.

The Cusco Sacred Valley Tour will show you how the Incas took good care of the Valley because it was the bread basket of their Empire. Here in its fertile soil their best products were grown. Come with us on our Sacred Valley Day Trip and find delicious corn that has the largest kernels in the whole world. At Pisac the Inca ruins are notable for their curved agricultural terraces from which you can take stunning photos of the Sacred Valley. Below the ruins the ancient village hosts a bustling handicrafts market.

On your Sacred Valley Day Tour, you will be astonished by the variety of Valley life. Ollantaytambo is the focal point for the northern end of the Valley and is the entrance to Machu Picchu and the Inca Trail. The Quechua people here subsist primarily on agriculture, with some villages also reviving traditional Incan weaving techniques to make textiles and other handicrafts for sale. Many other Inca traditions continue to live on in the music, the food, and the way these home communities worship the Apus. These ancestral customs have largely died out in urban centers.

Be inspired as you walk through the ancestral streets and plazas of Cusco! You can walk through each era of history in this regal city; it is the oldest continuously inhabited city in the Americas! We can trace time from Native Americans to Incans to Spaniards and now to modern-day citizens of Cusco. Besides its historical importance, Cusco is an absolutely breath-taking city with a living culture and a cuisine highly-acclaimed on the world stage!

The Sacred Valley includes several traditional towns of Cusco of which they emphasize Pisac, Urubamba, Ollantaytambo and Chinchero. These 4 places are the most visited by tourists because there are archaeological sites, hotels, restaurants and a variety of tourist attractions. You can hire a tour, rent a car and do it on your own or traveling with public transport.

I did the Inka Jungle Trail to MachuPicchu with Local Trekkers Peru and it was like embarking on an odyssey that mixed the excitement of cycling, the adrenaline of rafting and ziplining, the beauty of nature and the richness of Inca culture. Every day on the trail revealed landscapes impressive and ending up in MachuPicchu after 4 days of adventure, is something that cannot be explained in words. You can't miss the 4 day Inca Jungle tour!

On the recommendation of a friend we did the 4 day Inca Jungle tour with Terra Qechua Peru and it was a memorable experience. The trip started with a thrilling downhill bike ride and we did other activities such as rafting and zip lining, which added an extra adrenaline rush, followed by a hike through the rainforest full of fascinating flora and fauna, guided by a very knowledgeable expert. In addition, the natural hot springs in Santa Teresa were the perfect relaxation after active days. The final visit to Machu Picchu was the finishing touch, offering breathtaking views and a total immersion in Inca history.

The Inca Jungle is highly recommended

With my university classmates we did the 4-day Inca Jungle with Terra Quechua Peru and it was a great experience. We did a lot of adventure sports and the safety measures for the zip line, rafting and cycling were top notch. It was more fun than the Salkantay and much cheaper than the official Inca Trail. In general the whole experience is excellent, it has no waste, adventure tourism at its best, warmth of all the people who attended us and excellent guide, very professional, he answered all the questions we had and gave us a history lesson, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

inca jungle trail 4 days

We did the Inca Jungle trail with our family of 4. We met with our guide Julian and soon adopted him as our second son. Julian did a really good job in modifying the trip to our specific needs. He arranged taxi’s, traintickets etc. I would highly recommend him. some details about our trip : The bike ride down to Santa Maria was great. The extensive safety harness was not really required in my opinion since we basically followed an asphalted road with limited traffic. I would however advice the organisation to bring a spare bike along. We were lucky that my wife decided not to cycle but stayed in the van, so that we had a spare bike (1 flat tire + 1 shifter not working). Rafting was nice (bring mosquito repellent).
